This is probably why one of the most popular in all climatic zones of Russia is the Bizon tomato variety and its varieties. Now, through the efforts of breeders, several varieties of this tomato have been obtained.

Tomato Bison pink: variety description

Tomato, according to the description in different catalogs, the bush of which is indicated ambiguously. Determinant according to the description of some catalogs, indeterminate according to the description of others. But the reviews of experienced gardeners still say that the bush is determinant.

Cultivation is universal. Designed for both closed and open ground.

Average ripening times. The period from planting seeds for seedlings to technical maturity ranges from 115 to 120 days. The bush is from 1.2 to 1.5 meters high. Due to the rather heavy fruits, tying up not only the bush, but also individual brushes is required.

Description of fruits:

• Tomatoes are pink with a red tint.

Medium late ripening periods. From planting seeds to receiving the first tomatoes 120-125 days. It is necessary to tie up not only the bush, the brushes also need to be tied up because of the danger of breaking off under the weight of the fruit.

Bison Black

The determinant bush of the plant reaches a height of 150 to 180 centimeters. Medium late ripening.

A very powerful bush, tying up not only the main trunk, but also side shoots is required. The best result is when forming a bush in no more than two trunks. It is necessary to periodically remove stepsons.

Description of the fruit:

• Flat-round shape.
• With pronounced ribbing.
• The average weight is about 300 grams.
• The color of the tomatoes is a dark purple, even slightly closer to purple hues.
• Well-defined tomato flavor with a long-lasting fruity aftertaste.
• According to numerous reviews, it is better to use it for making salads, eating fresh, preparing various pastes and processing for juice.
• Salting is not advised because of the strong cracking of the fruit.

Growing features

Seeds are planted on seedlings one and a half to two months before planting seedlings in the ground. When the first shoots appear, feed with mineral fertilizer, and with two or three true leaves, plant it, combining it with a pick, for better development of the root system.

When planting seedlings in the ground, it is recommended to apply potash and nitrogen fertilizers... They can be replaced by feeding the bushes with infusion of bird droppings. It is important to apply small doses, otherwise the stems may be pulled out or the plant may die completely.

It is important to avoid dense planting of seedlings per square meter of soil. Otherwise, the elongation of plants and weak fruit formation are inevitable.

It is recommended not to plant more than four bushes per square meter of soil. It is best to form a bush on a trellis with tying of lateral shoots and fruit brushes.
